I can feel it: I'm laughing more and loudly! My energy has returned. My determination and will have strengthened. I feel fortified, secure, and content. I'm off daily intake coffee, sugar, and lethargy. I've expanded in all positive ways and diminished in weight! Yay! I've lost 2 lbs since my return! I have felt it from the inside out. I've run twice since returning from Yogaville, and I'm about to go for a run today, despite 29 degree bitter weather with the biting wind decreasing that number further!
I wrote out my running goals this morning, and believe that I can ease back in to running and be back up to 50 mi/month in April or May by starting off slow and increasing my mileage just as slowly! Right now, I run only 1 mile, and I will run 3x/wk, which is a 100% increase LOL! I'll slowly increase that mileage to 3 mi., 3x/wk, during the next two months, including a long run. So, I'm back on my foundation plan, which always works to keep me in shape and prevent injury! Once I am running 9 mi/wk, I start building one run per week up to 10 miles (Long Run Day), but I will most likely maintain that LR to 5 miles until I know my knee is fully stabilized and healed. In January, I will work up to 2 miles at most (10-13 mi. Total); then increase that in February to 2 (24 miles max); March: 3 miles/3x per week = 36 miles max; April: 3 plus LR up to 4 = 40 mi.; May: 3-5 mi. Per run, with a long run of up to 5 miles= 42 mi. Max. By then, I will be back to my normal schedule of running of 3-5 miles per run, running 3x per week, and then either stay at 15 mi. Per week, or start building my LR up to 10 miles (once weekly). This keeps me healthy, fit, and injury-free! Yay!
I am so grateful for all of this, and mostly, that my desire and energy and mental/emotional ability has returned. That was the longest funk I've ever been in (one year!!)! Thank godddess it's over! The 8 days at YV was a life-saver and re-animator!!!
I feel "easier" at school---at ease! I feel more peaceful. I feel like my energy has returned to a near-normal level. Physically, I feel better on all levels. Mentally, my clarity and ability to focus has returned. I don't feel so overwhelmed. Emotionally, well, I have expanded due to several factors, one of them is returning to my normal Self. All of this - emotional, physical, mental- is due to my daily practice of pranayama, asana, meditation, and puja. I'm back! I hope I never fall off my path again! Regardless of what happens: sickness, injury, heart-pain, I will stay my course!
I am so grateful for so much!!! I am back at the Center of my Self! Yay!
