I'm grateful that Dr. Ben Kim posted a recipe that is (possibly) a variation of 된장찌개 (dweonjang jiggae: fermented soy bean paste soup a.k.a. to many as miso soup), but with the added kick of 고추장 (spicy-hot red pepper paste); I wanted some spice in life! To my version, I added kelp, dweonjang, soybean paste, gochujang, sardines instead of tofu, roasted seaweed, green onion, roasted sesame seeds, and radish kimchi. 맛있어!!!! Since I did not add tofu it can't be called dubu jiggae (tofu soup)… And I don't know what the proper name is since it has an addition of seafood...해물? Since It is kind of a mishmash of my own creation, I'll just call it 진아 지게 Gina Jiggae!!ㅋㅋ
Thank you, Dr. Kim!
