I am grateful for all the travel I am doing while in China! It’s hard to believe I’ve had mini-breaks and holidays each month I’ve been in Chengdu! I’m returning to Kangding this weekend, for the Dragon Boat Festival holiday, and I plan to hike the other 2 mountains I missed during my first visit, and also visit the other two temples and eat at a couple of the Tibetan restaurants. I’m grateful that not only do I get to travel each month, but I am still able to save a large amount of my salary too!
I’m grateful that I’m taking Mandarin lessons. I’m not studying enough, but the weekly lessons still help. Slowly but surely, I will build my discipline back up and change my habits to incorporate studying into my daily routine.
I’m grateful that I can be flexible with the constant stream of changes that occur at school, even while simultaneously feeling frustrated by inconsistency. I’m inspired to help bring positive change to our school and collaborate with my co-teachers. My frustrations come and go, but I adapt. I am grateful that I am not rigid or have to have things “my way” all the time. I am grateful that I have learned so much that I can share with both my o-workers and students.
I’ve been putting off posting this week, not feeling much gratitude and thinking I can’t find anything. But I always do, and I ALWAYS feel uplifted after I post these.
I am grateful!
