I'm grateful for Hoover's Cooking: great service, great food, great place to spend time with Daddio. You have no idea how much I have missed fried chicken, ya'll! Hoo aaaaw! Writing this is making me hungry again. I wrote a review on Hoover's last week, and Mr. Hoover himself commented and thanked me. Now how cool is that! Makes me feel special and appreciated. Now that's the way to run a business! It's my new Sunday Brekkie spot with Dad. Not only that, but I asked our fab server to make the coffee extra strong for me, and he did! Aaron is a great server!
Today at school I worked on Lit and Math activities, and refined the lesson plans for next week. It's a busy week! I'm also grateful for exercise, saying no when I need to, my vehicle, friends, family, prosperity, and dragons. Apparently strength and courage are emerging from the depths, just like the mythical water dragons of ancient China, breaking free from the deep and flying up to shower me with strength, courage, and prosperity! I have a new vision board working, with images of France, Korea, Hawaii; and me climbing, cycling, riding my motorcycle, doing yoga, and running; images that personify goals to move toward, such as thru-hiking the Ouichita Trail, surfing, and solo-circumnavigating via sailboat.
I can do it all, why not!
I am grateful for lazy days spent reading pulp adventures, studying Qing dynasty art and history, relaxing, and drinking tea. I'm grateful to be crushin' hard on Somebody New. :-o
I'm grateful I found a brand new book case with nary a scratch, that someone discarded on the side of the road. I'd been looking for bookcase and knew one would appear at the right time. Voilà!
I'm grateful for Korean dramas. And my determination to become fluent in Korean. My vocabulary expands daily! I'm grateful my Mom makes me delicious, spicy kimchi with peppers sent from her cousin in Daegu! I'm grateful that 3 years ago today, I was flying to Seoul then Busan, to embark on a year that impacts my life still. KoongKoongda!
I'm grateful that my life is so good.
...is practicing gratitude every day for 365 days. Began on April 22, 2016, let's see how life changes over the course of this next year!
