"Lack of mobility and opportunity". Exactamundo! My feeling of despondency could not be more accurately attributed to (partial) cause, than by the writing of Talking Heads' David Byrne, in his recent blog, "The Echo Chamber" (http://davidbyrne.com/the-echo-chamber).
According to a study by Nobel Laureate Angus Deaton and Anne Case, white middle class men may be killing themselves due to an increase in
pessimistic outlooks concerning their financial futures. My guess is that the middle class senses the end of the American dream and that white
middle class Americans are experiencing a lack of mobility and opportunity in the economic spheres where they were previously the privileged
and entitled majority.
My sentiments exactly, and finally, Americans are getting sick and tired of how America has degenerated. Perhaps enough to finally do something about it, though it will be difficult for middle America to triumph over the Biz Biz that runs this country.
There is fiction. There is life. What is the difference?
